RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:

Any

Dear Birthmother,

Dear Expectant Mother,

I want to take the time to acknowledge what a difficult decision this is for you to make. I understand what you are facing, and I don’t go into this process blindly. I think you are doing the most selfless thing a human can do, and I am full of gratitude for you. I hope you can find some peace in knowing that if I am fortunate enough to be chosen by you, I will provide your baby with a loving home.

I also want to thank you for considering me to adopt your baby. Although we don’t know each other, you will be one of the most important people in my life. You will be giving me the greatest gift and allowing me to start my family. I could never thank you enough, but I can tell you that you will be changing my life in the best possible way. I know I will give your baby a great life full of experiences, opportunity, unconditional love, family, and support.

Sincerely,
Mo

Home

My Home

I live in a three-bedroom, two-bath house in California. The neighborhood is very diverse, with multiple young families that live on my street. Nearby, there are multicultural restaurants, museums, a zoo, children’s centers, and an aquatic center. At the end of the street we have a park with hiking trails. I am so blessed to have my parents, sister and her family, cousin, best friend and godson live close by. There are two great elementary schools close to my house (one a magnet school and one a high-ranking public school) and many private and public schools to choose from for junior high and high school. If the weather is nice, we can drive to the beach. In the winter, we can drive to the mountains to ski or snowboard.

Extended Family

My Extended Family

have family dinner at my parents’ house every other week. I talk to my sister and my nephews and niece every other day on FaceTime. I have a lot of cousins. We don’t discriminate whether you are a first or second cousin; you are still family. That being said, I have one grandmother still alive, seven aunts and uncles, 16 first cousins, and too many second cousins to count. I spend a lot of time laughing with my cousins.

We are Iranian, so we celebrate Iranian New Year and all the traditions that go along with that holiday. We also celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, where we cook together and watch movies. Growing up, we went camping, rented houses on the beach for Labor Day, went on ski vacations together, and went to amusement parks. I would travel to Europe with my parents and siblings, and my mom would make sure we were exposed to different foods, art, and culture. My parents now own a house in Italy, and we try to spend Christmas there or a couple weeks in the summer when our schedules allow.
