RACE OF CHILD INTERESTED IN ADOPTING:
Any
Dear Birthmother,
To a Loving Mother,
We can only imagine the strength and courage it takes to consider an adoption plan for your child. While we haven't walked in your shoes, we know this choice must come with deep emotion, reflection, and love. Please know that we see you, we honor your journey, and we recognize the bravery it takes to explore this path.
Our decision to adopt was not made lightly. We've thought deeply about the kind of parents we want to be and the life we hope to offer a child. More than anything, we want to raise a child with unconditional love, safety, acceptance, and joy. We look forward to sharing our family traditions and creating new ones, filled with laughter, learning, and love.
We dream of showing a child the world through travel, new experiences, and different cultures, while also embracing the everyday magic that comes with childhood—muddy boots, bedtime stories, giggles at the dinner table, and quiet moments of wonder.
We are ready to grow our family in a home full of warmth, support, and respect. If openness is something that's important to you, we're open to exploring what that might look like in a way that feels right for everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and for considering this incredibly selfless decision. Whatever path you choose, we wish you peace, strength, and support as you continue forward.
With deep respect,
Jessica and Mal
Our Home
We love our home and neighborhood in Colorado. It offers the perfect mix of a family-friendly, residential feel with easy access to everything a big city provides. We're also just a short drive from the Rocky Mountains, where we love to hike and explore. Our neighborhood has excellent schools, including public, charter, and international options, plus a nearby rec center and park just blocks from our home. The park is always full of kids playing sports and families gathering—we walk our 8-year-old dog Indie, a 35-pound Lab-Beagle mix, there every day. We host backyard BBQs, game nights, and spend as much time as we can outside, soaking up Colorado's 300+ days of sunshine each year.
Our Extended Family
Both of our immediate families live out of state, which means our time together is always intentional and cherished.
Jessica's family is in Minnesota, and we visit often for reunions, weddings, or simply because we love being with them. Jessica is very close to her younger sister—they're often laughing, kayaking, or trying new things together (like a watercolor class they were hilariously bad at but loved anyway!).
Mal's family lives in Nebraska. He has a brother and a sister on the eastern side of the state. He and his sister, a librarian, are especially close and FaceTime nearly every day. We love attending her community events and catching up in person whenever we can.
Some of our favorite traditions include competitive (and very silly) Christmas games with Mal's family, white elephant gift exchanges with Jessica's family, and most importantly—showing up. Whether it's a band concert for Mal's nephew or an art show for Jessica's dad, we do our best to be there for the big (and small) moments.
