We can’t begin to imagine the challenges you are facing in this difficult time of weighing the best options for you and your precious baby. The decision you are making is one of the most selfless, loving acts an individual can make. We’re humbled by your courage and your strength in considering adoption for your child.
Our hearts are bursting with love, hope, and gratitude for you for considering helping another family grow by two feet. We assure you we will cherish and love your child while providing a safe, loving home and a life full of endless possibilities for growth, if you choose us. About Us
We met as volunteer EMTs and became immediate friends. Our friendship grew, and we soon realized it was more than just a friendship; it was love. We continue to fall more in love with each other every single day. We enjoy taking time to go on getaway weekends. We also enjoy spending time with our two dogs and taking them on walks. When James’s son is spending time with us, Kaitlyn really enjoys playing video games with him. She says she “lets him win,” but we aren’t so sure! Our favorite activity, however, is spending time together and as a family.
Our Home
We live in a quiet neighborhood that is not frequented by much traffic. Our son enjoys taking his scooter and/or bike out and riding around the streets when he isn’t playing video games. We also take our two dogs, which we rescued from Arkansas and Spain, out for walks. When boredom kicks in, we have a large, fenced-in backyard for our son and dogs to play in and boxes of toys for them to play with! There are parks for kids to play at, two community pools, a bike path and rail trail to walk/run/ride bikes on, stores to shop at, and plenty of other activities, like organized sports, karate classes, dance classes, fitness activities, etc.
Our Extended Family
We both have relatively small families compared to some, and they are quite similar to each other. Kaitlyn grew up with her mom, dad, and older brother. James grew up with his mom, dad, and older sister. We both have a few cousins each along with several aunts and uncles.
With each of our families, we would say holidays are probably our biggest traditions. James was born on Halloween, and Kaitlyn was born shortly before Christmas. We think it’s safe to say we truly enjoy the opportunity to get our families together during the holidays and enjoy the time spent together. Outside of holidays, we try to take a family vacation each summer just to get away from the stressors of life and to have some fun together.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have been unable to have biological children. James was diagnosed early on in his adulthood with a condition preventing him from having biological children. We tried several times to conceive using a donor and IUI but were unsuccessful. After many failed attempts, we made the decision to look at adoption as we truly want to grow our family and raise a wonderful baby. Growing our family and raising a child is our greatest dream. We truly hope that through adoption, we will be able to grow our family two feet at a time.
